We deliver this commitment through the following initiatives:
Apprentice schemes provide a valuable contribution to our workforce training and development programmes. Apprentices develop their skills, knowledge and confidence through a mixture of classroom learning with a locally based apprenticeship training provider and practical-based training, whilst studying for an industry recognised NVQ qualification.
Recently, one of our apprentices successfully completed his three-year NVQ Levels 2 & 3 apprenticeship programme in Mechanical Engineering.
Specialist trained mental health first aiders
We recognise the importance of workplace mental health at Shipham Valves and have recently trained two members of our team in mental health first aid.
