Congratulations to David Burge who has recently been promoted to the role of CNC Programming Engineer.

With over 15 years’ experience in various machining industries, David brings a wealth of knowledge, insight and experience.

David joined Shipham Valves almost three years ago as a machinist. This involved working on various machining projects, utilising the Trevisan DS450-130C and several other modern machining centres.

In his newly appointed role, David will work closely with the programming and the production planning teams, providing technical assistance to our machinists, helping to maintain smooth production processes, streamlining workflows and ensuring our machine centres operate efficiently to deliver the standards that meet our expectations.

His responsibilities include:

  • Programming machine centres
  • Providing technical assistance to the machinists
  • Developing new working systems
  • Driving continuous improvement by streamlining processes
  • Creating new processes and systems

Our programming team will also play a critical role in the development of new software and systems to analyse tooling efficiencies.
